ขณะที่... ชายคนหนึ่ง กำลังขัดรถใหม่-ของเขา
his 6 yr old son picked up a stone and
scratched lines on the side of the car.

In anger, the man took the child's hand
and hit it many times;
ด้วยความโกรธ .. เขาจับ-มือลูกชายมา
ตีอย่างแรง-ไปหลายที ...
not realizing he was using a wrench.
โดย ไม่ได้ตระหนัก..ว่า สิ่งที่เขาใช้ตี-คือ .ประแจ-ขันน็อต
At the hospital, the child lost all his
fingers due to multiple fractures.
ที่ รพ. ลูกชายของเขา-ต้องสูญเสียนิ้วมือ
ทั้งหมด เพราะ .. กระดูกแตก-ละเอียด .
When the child saw his father.
เมื่อเด็กชายเจอ พ่อ
with painful eyes he asked,
เขาถาม-พ่อด้วยสายตา ..อันเจ็บปวด
'Dad when will my fingers grow back?'
พ่อครับ! นิ้วผมจะงอกมาเหมือนเดิม .
เมื่อไหร่ ครับ
The man was so hurt and speechless;
ชายคนนั้น . เจ็บปวดมาก และ พูดไม่ออก
he went back to his car and kicked it a lot of times.
เขากลับไป เตะรถคันนั้น-หลายครั้ง .
Devastated by his own actions.
เขาได้ ทำลายมัน ด้วยตัว-เขาเอง
sitting in front of that car he looked at the scratches;
เขานั่ง หน้ารถ แล้ว มองที่รอย ขีดข่วน
the child had written 'LOVE YOU DAD'.
ลูกชายเขา ... เขียนคำว่า ... " ผมรักพ่อ "
The next day that man committed suicide
วันรุ่งขึ้น เขา ..ก็ฆ่า-ตัวตาย
Anger and Love have no limits;
ความโกรธ และ ความรัก ไม่มีขีด-จำกัด
choose the latter to have a beautiful, lovely life.
จงเลือกสิ่งหลัง . เพื่อการอยู่อย่างงดงาม ...
และ อบ-อวลด้วย ... ความรัก ...
Things are to be used and people are to be loved.
สิ่งของ-ทั้งหลาย ... มีไว้เพื่อให้ใช้...
คน มีไว้เพื่อ ... ให้รัก ...
But the problem in today's world is that,
แต่ ... ปัญหาของโลก ... ในปัจุบัน ... คือ ...
People are used and things are loved.....
คนมีไว้-เพื่อถูกใช้งาน แต่ สิ่งของกลับเป็นที่รัก
In this year, let's be careful to keep this
thought in mind:
จากนี้-ไป ... ขอให้ พวกเรา ... ตั้งใจจดจำไว้ว่า
Things are to be used, but People are
to be loved.
สิ่งของทั้งหลาย .มีไว้เพื่อถูกใช้งาน .
และ คนมีไว้ .เพื่อเป็น-ที่รัก .
Watch your thoughts;
จงเฝ้าดู .ความคิดคุณ .
they become words.
เพราะ มันจะกลาย-เป็นคำพูด .
Watch your words;
จงเฝ้า ระวังคำพูด .
they become actions.
เพราะ . มันจะกลาย ..เป็นการกระทำ ...
Watch your actions;
จงเฝ้าดู ... การกระทำ ...
they become habits.
เพราะ ... มันจะ-เป็นนิสัย ...
Watch your habits,
จงเฝ้าระวัง ... นิสัยคุณ ...
they become character;
เพราะ ... มันจะเป็น ... บุคคลิก ...
Watch your character;
จงเฝ้าดู ... บุคคลิก ...
it becomes your destiny.
เพราะ ... มันจะบอก...ความเป็นตัวตน-ของคุณ
